Social Media Tips: Beginner
Set-Up
Even if you already have these “set up”, review all of the steps to ensure consistency.
❏ Set up an account with Bit.ly, this will ensure your social media clicks are tracked.
❏ Have Twitter, Facebook, (and any other accounts you have chosen to use for your character) set-up and ready to go with your character’s profile picture.
❏ NOTE: Instagram and Vine, while good to have, will NOT ALLOW NUDITY WHATSOEVER. You should know Facebook does not either, but seeing as Instagram and Vine are picture-based only, it should be mentioned.
❏ Both Twitter and Facebook should have a bio about “you”. Twitter bio is short, Facebook bio is longer, and TTM bio will go into detail.
❏ Follow AS MANY coworkers on TalkToMe and at least TWENTY stars in your sector if you’re just starting up in Twitter. Keep in mind the follow ratio though. Never have more following then followers.
❏ Review this checklist as a final Twitter set-up. Print it out. Live by it. Every step that applies to this industry (obviously the LinkedIn tips are out, and you NEVER need to disclose your geographical location), do!
❏ Make sure your profile name is the same as your Talker name, or as close as possible.
❏ Have your Twitter handle VERY VISIBLE on your Talker profile. Niteflirt doesn’t do this, so we have a one-up.
❏ Pictures are everything, so even if you use a disguised girl for your profile, get creative with pictures; share things, re-use photos, etc
❏ If you’d like, you can use Hootsuite for all your Twitter handles (up to five). This allows you to schedule out posts, which is extremely awesome when you have many profiles.
❏ ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS use bit.ly for links. You need to know which posts are most popular, where they’re coming from, the best time to tweet, etc.
❏ DO NOT STOP THE CONVERSATION. Always answer everyone, unless of course they’re a total creeper and freaking you out. Then, totally stop and let me know.
❏ If you are tweeting while mentioning (@ing a user), and it can apply to many people (or if you want all followers to see the convo, use a . in front of their name, like this: .@jezebel your miley slam was right on. Who else can she impress with her breasts? The . and name MUST be the first thing in the tweet so the function will work. If it’s in the middle of the sentence only that person you’re tweeting will see it.
Posting Frequency
Social Media posting follows the 80/20 rule. 80% entertainment and news, 20% self-promotion. HOWEVER, with phone girls, 80% of entertainment IS you, so dive into the sexiness and give your viewers a “peek into your bedroom life”. The 20% should be sales, if you will, and the 80% is the human side of you and shares.
In order of post frequency:
Facebook – two or three times a day (memes, your blog posts, quiz you took: commentable and do-now action items)
Twitter – five or more original tweets a day (all about click-throughs and re-tweets), as-needed conversation engagements, two re-tweets
All of the above should go throughout the day, but the most essential times are in the below graphic. Social Media is a job, but it also isn’t. It’s a conversation that doesn’t end and should be about what you want to talk about, so keep it going.
Always be posting WHEN you’ll be available to talk. Examples:
Who wants to call & chat naughty with me now? http://vrfd.co/tanyatate
I just did a facial & fucked myself….AT THE SAME DAMN TIME! Wanna know how? I just snapchatted the result, become @snapgirlz member NOW!
